Product Description
The Maxx Air 18 in. ventilation fan is ideal for use in mild climates during the morning or evening, efficiently pulling in fresh air through open windows and removing hot, stale air from your home through the attic exhaust vents for a cool and comfortable living environment. Unlike a standard whole house fan, our ducted fans feature a damper box that is sealed with R5 insulation to prevent heat transfer back into your home, and a 12 ft. duct for maximum ventilation potential and noise reduction. The fan head mounts to an attic rafter with the included hanging bracket for an easier, faster install than a traditional whole house fan. It's a cost-effective solution to improving your indoor air quality while relieving strain on your house's air conditioning equipment. Upgrade this quiet electric fan with a wireless hub (XXWREWIFIHUB) to control your fan via a local Wi-Fi connection on most smart devices.

EASY INSTALLATION
This series is designed to fit between 16 or 24 inch on-center ceiling joists, eliminating the need for cutting and removing a joist during installation. Each fan has a pre-installed hanging bracket on the fan assembly and also includes a rafter bracket to make your install as simple as possible.
ULTRA-QUIET OPERATION
Typical whole house fans have a fan unit that sits close to the shutter (and thus your ceiling) when installed. With our new modern whole house fan design, the fan assembly is installed up to 12 feet away from the plenum box with the included duct, all but eliminating noise when in use.
FRESH AIR IN YOUR HOME
Whole house fans pull cool air from open windows and doors throughout the house and push stale, warm air upwards to escape through your attic, making them a perfect alternative to an air conditioner in moderate climates. Feel instantly refreshed with this energy-saving cooling measure!

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a whole house fan do?
A whole house fan pulls cooler outdoor air into the home through open windows and pushes hot indoor air up into the attic, where the air exits through attic vents. Whole house fans help refresh indoor air, reduce built-up heat, and make the living space more comfortable when outdoor temperatures are cooler than indoor temperatures.
How do you use a whole house fan?
To use a whole house fan, open several windows, turn on the fan, and allow the fan to pull fresh outdoor air through the home. Whole house fans work best in the morning, evening, or overnight when outdoor air is cooler. For best results, open windows in the rooms you want to cool and make sure the attic has enough exhaust ventilation.
How many windows need to be open for a whole house fan?
A whole house fan needs enough open window area to pull in fresh air without creating too much pressure inside the home. In most cases, opening several windows a few inches is better than opening one window all the way. The right amount depends on the fan size, home layout, and airflow needs, but the goal is to give the fan a clear path for incoming air.
What is the difference between a whole house fan and an attic fan?
A whole house fan cools and ventilates the living space by pulling outdoor air through open windows and exhausting hot indoor air through the attic. An attic fan only ventilates the attic by removing hot attic air. Whole house fans are used for whole-home cooling and air exchange, while attic fans are used mainly to reduce attic heat buildup.
Are whole house fans energy efficient?
Whole house fans can be an energy-efficient cooling option when outdoor air is cooler than indoor air. Instead of relying only on air conditioning, a whole house fan uses outdoor air to help cool the home naturally. This can reduce air conditioning use during mild weather, cooler evenings, and seasonal temperature changes.
