Product Description
Maxx Air 1000 Series Power Attic Vents are built for ventilating residential attic spaces up to 1,600 sq. ft. The ventilator's low profile dome is aesthetically pleasing on the roofline, withstands impacting wind, debris, and hail, and has a galvanized steel mesh screen to protect against insects, birds, and rodents. Install is straightforward and requires no special tools to complete. This electric roof mount attic fan is designed to exhaust hot air from the attic and pull in cooler air through under eave or soffit vents, prolonging the life of composite roof shingles, helping to prevent weather-induced home deterioration, and making living areas more comfortable. Swap your pre-wired thermostat for a thermostat/humidistat combo (XXDUOSTAT) or add a rain guard (XXRAINGUARD) for installs on steeper roof pitches.

ENERGY SAVING DESIGN
An attic fan running all day can quickly eat into your pocketbook, which is why all electric Maxx Air roof mount fans have a pre-wired thermostat to give you control over when your fan runs.
BUILT-IN MESH SCREEN
Pests can wreak havoc in your attic, damaging electrical wiring, insulation, and other critical components of your home. All Maxx Air roof mount power attic vents come standard with a built-in metal screen to keep insects, birds, and rodents at bay.
Offers Year-Round Home Benefits
Creating a balanced attic ventilation system is necessary for the overall health of any home. When your attic space is properly ventilated, your air conditioner runs less in the summer, your roof shingles last longer, and your attic insulation is further protected from mold and mildew. A Maxx Air roof mount fan is one component that can help you reach this goal.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a roof mounted power attic ventilator do?
A roof mounted power attic ventilator helps exhaust hot, trapped air from the attic and pull cooler outside air in through soffit or under-eave vents. By improving attic airflow, a power attic ventilator can help reduce heat buildup, support better home comfort, and help protect roofing materials from excess heat and moisture.
Do attic vent fans really work?
Yes, attic vent fans can work well when they are properly sized and paired with enough intake ventilation. A roof mount power attic ventilator is designed to move hot air out of the attic so cooler air can enter through intake vents. This can help lower attic temperatures and reduce the strain caused by trapped heat during warmer months.
How do I know what size attic ventilator I need?
To size an attic ventilator, start with the square footage of the attic and compare it to the ventilator’s rated coverage area and CFM. Maxx Air roof mount power attic ventilators are available in models designed for different attic sizes, including spaces up to approximately 1,200, 1,500, 1,600, 1,700, 2,000, and 2,400 square feet. Choosing the correct size helps ensure the fan can move enough air without being underpowered or oversized.
How do roof mount power attic ventilators turn on and off?
Many roof mount power attic ventilators operate with a thermostat, humidistat, or thermostat/humidistat control. The fan turns on when the attic reaches the set temperature or humidity level and turns off once conditions improve. This helps the attic ventilator run only when needed instead of operating continuously.
Do roof mount power attic ventilators need soffit vents?
Yes, roof mount power attic ventilators need adequate intake ventilation to work properly. Soffit vents or under-eave vents allow cooler outside air to enter the attic while the ventilator exhausts hot air through the roof. Without enough intake airflow, the fan may not ventilate the attic as effectively.
