Product Description

QuFresh Slim Line Bath Fans are the ultimate in versatility for home and commercial use, offering odor ventilation, mildew prevention, and moisture reduction in a bathroom, laundry room, or utility space. Constructed using a low profile steel housing perfect for wall or ceiling mount installations and 4 in. oval duct connector with a spring-installled polymeric grille cover. This exhaust fan includes hanger bars and mounting tabs for installation against a joist or stud, and a motor with 3 speed selections (50, 80, or 100 CFM) with wiring knockouts on the housing. The SL100-3's ECM motor is highly efficient no matter which CFM setting you choose, and operates quietly from 0.6 - 1.2 sones. For added control, choose a Slim Line fan with an added humidity sensor (SL100-3H) or with both a humidity and motion sensor (SL100-3HM) to ensure your room is properly ventilated in any situation.

AN ENERGY EFFICIENT CHOICE

Slim Line bath fan models SL100-3 and SL100-3H both have an energy efficient performance thanks in part to their advanced, high quality ECM motor. Trust that your fan only runs when it needs to using the 3H model's built-in humidity sensor, which can be set to operate the fan on demand with setpoints from 30% - 80% humidity.

SILENT OPERATION

Don't put up with the excess noise generated from old, clunky fans. With units operating from less than 0.6 - 1.2 sones, the Slim Line series bath fans are so quiet you might not even know it's on.

CREATE A HEALTHY HOME

A warm shower is great, but all that unventilated steam and moisture can set up your bathroom for mold and mildew (and the damaging after-effects of removing it). Installing a Slim Line Series bath fan aids in removing this moisture in bathrooms ranging from 50 - 100 sq. ft.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many CFM do I need for a bathroom fan?

A simple rule covers most bathrooms: you need about 1 CFM of airflow for every square foot of floor space. For a 70 square foot bathroom, that means a fan rated around 70 CFM. For bathrooms with a separate enclosed toilet, a soaking tub, or more than one shower head, add roughly 50 CFM for each of those fixtures to keep up with the extra moisture. Maxx Air bathroom fans come in a range of CFM ratings so you can match the airflow to your room size, clearing steam and humidity quickly instead of letting it linger.

What size bathroom fan is best for a small bathroom or a large one?

Match the fan to the size of the room. A small bathroom, such as a powder room or a half bath under 50 square feet, is well served by a lower CFM fan, while a large primary bathroom needs a higher CFM rating to move enough air to clear moisture from the whole space. Using the one CFM per square foot guideline gets you close, then size up if the room has a tub, a separate toilet area, or multiple shower heads. Maxx Air offers bathroom fans across a range of airflow ratings, so you can choose the right one for a compact space or a larger room without overpaying for power you don't need or coming up short on ventilation.

Do bathroom exhaust fans need to be vented outside?

Yes. A bathroom exhaust fan should always vent to the outdoors, through the roof or an exterior wall, rather than into an attic or crawl space. Venting into an enclosed area just moves the moisture somewhere else, where it can cause mold, mildew, and damage to insulation and framing over time. Maxx Air bathroom fans are built to connect to standard ducting so you can route the moist air safely outside, which is the whole point of installing an exhaust fan in the first place.

What is the best bathroom fan for removing moisture and preventing mold?

The best fan for moisture control is one that is correctly sized for the room and runs often enough to clear humidity after every shower. Properly sized airflow removes the warm, damp air that leads to mold and mildew before it can settle into walls, ceilings, and grout. For hands-off control, many Maxx Air bathroom fans are available with an optional humidity sensor that switches the fan on automatically when moisture rises and off again once the air dries out, so the room stays protected even when you forget to flip the switch. Pairing the right CFM rating with automatic humidity sensing is the most reliable way to keep a bathroom dry.

How quiet are bathroom exhaust fans, and what is a sone?

Fan noise is measured in sones, and lower numbers mean quieter operation. A fan rated around 0.3 to 1.0 sones runs with a soft, barely noticeable hum, while ratings closer to 2.0 sones or higher produce a more audible white noise. For bedrooms, en suites, and early mornings, a quieter fan makes a real difference in comfort. Maxx Air bathroom fans are engineered for quiet performance so you get effective ventilation without a loud, distracting motor running overhead.
