We're bringing back our carpet fans—better than ever—with a new line of 3 powerful utility air movers to suit any type of job, large or small.
What is a carpet fan?
A fan of many names, for one. You'll see them listed online as carpet fans, floor drying fans, air movers, or blower fans. These are all specialized fans designed to draw in large amounts of air and push it outward in a concentrated area to aid in drying surfaces, be it a wall, floor, ceiling, or crawl space (i.e., not just carpets!).
Who should use this type of air mover?
Everyone can benefit from having a drying fan!
Homeowners can use this fan after mopping to quickly dry tile, vinyl, or linoleum floors. It can also be used to dry out spaces affected by minor water leaks, or to help dry freshly cleaned carpets or spills.
Commercial companies should also keep a carpet fan on hand. Professional painters can speed up the drying of freshly painted walls or ceilings to complete their jobs faster. Flood remediation companies can use it as a first line of defense to dry out rooms in the homes or buildings they are hired to help. Builders can also use it to dry their tile or drywall projects.
What are the benefits of using a drying fan?
HEALTH Water leaks or flooding in a building can set up a space for potentially dangerous mold growth. According to the EPA, "Molds produce allergens..., irritants, and in some cases, potentially toxic substances (mycotoxins). Inhaling or touching mold or mold spores may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Allergic responses include hay fever-type symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, red eyes, and skin rash (dermatitis)." Fast drying (within a 24 - 48 hour window) is extremely important to starting the salvage process, or restoring a space back to a usable state for people to inhabit. |

SAFETY Wet floors are slip hazards. Even if you've attempted to mark off an area, accidents can still happen and injuries can occur if someone slips and falls. Drying a floor as quickly as possible ensures the safety of guests or residents by eliminating the potential hazard, and air movers are perfect for speeding up the drying process.
